Being forced to be in just this world has never let up since the day you got here. It feels repressive. The outside world expects everyone to accept this without ever questioning it. It’s considered the social norm.
So, when did “just living in this world” become the social norm? Who decided this for everyone? When did you first feel resistance to this social compliance?
The feeling of living in just this world is what makes you feel alone and disconnected.
This pressure to be in just this world caused you to rebel against something you couldn’t explain, just that something was missing. This rebellion was your attempt to resist accepting this social norm even before you knew why.
You may not remember the “before life,” the world you came from, but something deep inside you has never forgotten.
The rebellion you felt was like you pushed the pause button so you could assess what was really going on before you went any further. You were thinking for yourself. It felt powerful because in taking that stance you were connected. This is what allowed you to see what was really going on, if only for a short time.
Now, to the degree that you feel rebellion operating in your life – will bring attention to what needs healing. How much of you got dismissed for the sake of complying so you could survive in this world? You did not come here to struggle and survive. The rebellion was necessary to wake you up and push you through it, not keep you angry and stuck. ~ Linda Deir
