Everything seemed to be going along just fine in your life and then the pandemic hit causing everything to grind to a halt.
Your daily routine has been interrupted causing you to feel restless. The routine you relied on for having fun has worn you down making you feel tired and bored. The new question in your mind is, when will it all be over? When will I be able to have my fun again and get back into my routine that I enjoyed?
You imagine everything going back to the way it was before the pandemic; when you can get back together with friends who enjoy the same things you do without restrictions.
We would have you look at the “when” question as “how.”
When it does come back how will it look? It will be so different that you may not even recognize or remember what your old routine was. Your life was a one-way street before. Everything you did was solely for your benefit, or a sacrifice for the betterment of those who expected you to make them happy. How did your fun and happiness get tied into a routine of expectations from yourself and others? Exposing your restless life makes you more tired and bored the longer the lockdown and shutdown drag on.
The old routine looks very distant now and you are even afraid it may never come back again the way you remember it. This is the point of the lockdown; it’s given you time to re-evaluate the things you did that you identified as fun and consider that perhaps it’s time to reverse your routine. Perhaps it’s time to give to those who deserve it, rather than what’s in it for you.
What type of new routine could you imagine where someone else, besides you, benefits?
We bet that this never crossed your mind. Start looking for ways to do things differently when the lockdown is lifted, and businesses are reopened. It’s important that you do not fall back into your old routine. It’s something that you were comfortable with that became a lifestyle habit. People tend to shy away from new experiences because they are so ingrained in old habits.
However, if you are open to it, you will find your new experiences to be fun and interesting. You will feel fulfilled from these new experiences and the feelings you get will make you realize exactly why it’s important for you to be here at this time in history. You are here to help others and not just be on the receiving end of what’s in it for you. This will expose a new side of you that you have not fully seen or experienced before now.
With these new experiences will come – new beliefs. It may be hard to abandon your old beliefs because the old beliefs were just mindless habits. It’s these mindless habits that waste your time and ultimately your life, and eventually become a mindless destiny.

It took a global pandemic to expose the habitual life you were leading. This is your second chance to live the life you intended before you came here.
