Confidence as the “Spirit Guides and Angels” explained it to me.
Courage is what it takes to achieve Confidence. Courage comes from knowing you can trust yourself enough to figure things out.
Courage is what it takes to overcome anything that stands in the way of a safe, okay life versus a meaningful one.

Here’s a quote that resonates with me, a Lakota Indian Chief said, “Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell. And spirituality is for people who have already been there.” – Running Hawk, Lakota Nation (Pine Ridge)
Courage Is What It Takes To Face Your Fears
Courage is what it takes to willingly face your fears and walk through your own personal hell in order to surpass the fears that could have kept you there. Confidence is the outcome once you have completely walked through that hell. The secret is, once you have the courage to “face your fears” and “walk through your hell” – don’t stop … keep walking! This is a decision not to stay stuck in compromising beliefs and settling for a life of mediocrity.
Unseasoned people, meaning, those who are still living safe okay lives, view seasoned people as damaged in some way. These unseasoned people have a superior feeling about themselves. These people are living their lives by what they were told to believe and do. They are fearful of what might happen to them if they get to know who they are and become who that is. They recognize that nothing in their social circle will support that. So they become even more committed to just following the pack, never trusting or revealing what they really feel. The consequences of this choice is a life of second-guessing themselves.
To a seasoned person, those people are easy to spot. They are vulnerable and it’s really easy to shake up their world. So, don’t worry about who is judging you or what others think, or say about you. In fact, if this is one of your concerns then this is part of your hell. Just one of the self-imposed limitations that you have yet to overcome in order to achieve an authentic life that leads to confidence and real freedom. Confidence is not being superior, but what you know from experience and can trust – it’s knowing you, so you can trust yourself and be yourself. The consequences will be that no one else will have your answers. You will have to look inside for that. You will have to do the work. But at least, you won’t be second-guessing yourself.
Confidence Becomes Your Mastery
Confidence is a spiritual energy that no one can ever take away from you and that you take with you once you are released from this lifetime. You became more than you were before you got here. Freedom is derived from building confidence. It’s what you would do if no one was watching because it’s a personal standard that unfolds from the ‘real’ you. You become a living, breathing, exciting, inspiration to everyone in your life, most of all to yourself! Life is juicy and is no longer a struggle.
Life is supposed to be fun, so dance with your fears, make friends with your demons, willingly walk through your hell – and whatever you do don’t panic, just keep walking! This is how you find your home – your real home, the authentic one that has real meaning that no one can ever take from you. It’s what you came here to achieve. It’s who you are and what you take with you when you move on to your next adventures.
