Confidence as the “Spirit Guides and Angels” explained it to me.
Courage is what it takes to achieve Confidence. Having the confidence to take risks comes from knowing you can trust yourself enough to figure things out.
Courage is what it takes to overcome anything that stands in the way of a safe, okay life versus a meaningful one.
Here’s a quote that resonates with me …
A Lakota Indian Chief said, “Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.” – Running Hawk, Lakota Nation (Pine Ridge)
The courage to face your fears is the risk you must take to live a full life.
Courage is what it takes to willingly face your fears and walk through your own personal hell in order to surpass the fears that could have kept you there.
Confidence is the outcome once you have completely walked through your hell.
The secret is, once you have the courage to “face your fears” and “walk through your hell” – don’t stop … keep walking! Facing your fears is a decision not to stay stuck in compromising beliefs – settling for a life of mediocrity.
Unseasoned people, meaning, those who are still living safe okay lives, view seasoned people as damaged in some way. These unseasoned people have a superior feeling about themselves. They live their lives by what they were told to believe and do. They are fearful of what might happen to them if they get to know who they are and become who that is because then they would become the target of ridicule. They recognize that nothing in their social circle will support that. So, they become even more committed to just following the pack, never trusting or revealing what they really feel. The consequence of this choice is that they are just serving time, leading to a life of regret.
To a seasoned person, those people are easy to spot. They are vulnerable and it’s really easy to shake up their world. So, don’t worry about who is judging you or what others think, or say about you. In fact, if this is one of your concerns, then just like I described above, this is part of your hell that requires healing. Just one of the self-imposed limitations that you have yet to overcome in order to achieve an authentic life that leads to confidence and real freedom.
Confidence is not being superior, it’s what you know from experience – it’s knowing who you really are, so you can trust yourself and be yourself. The consequence of this is realizing that no one will ever have your answers. You will have to look inside yourself for that to realize what is right for you.
Confidence Becomes Your Mastery.
Confidence is a spiritual energy that no one can ever take away from you. You take it with you when released from this lifetime. You became more than you were before you got here.
Real freedom is derived from building confidence.
It’s what you would do if no one was watching because it’s a personal standard that unfolds from the ‘real’ you, naturally. You become a living, breathing, exciting, inspiration to everyone in your life, most of all – to yourself! Life flows and is no longer a struggle even when challenges arise.
Life is supposed to be fun, so dance with your fears, make friends with your demons, willingly walk through your hell and whatever you do – don’t panic, just keep walking! This is how you will heal the damage and find your true home, the authentic one that has real meaning – the home that no one can ever take away from you. It’s what you came here to achieve. It’s who you are and what you take with you when you move on to your next adventures … beyond this world. From this ongoing journey, you learn what loving yourself really is – only then do you have the capacity to love and be loved. ~ Linda Deir
